Last updated
Effective date: 22 October 2026.
Prohibited use
- Sexual content, or trying to draw Aika into it.
- Abusing, threatening or harassing Aika, or using her to do that to someone else.
- Planning or encouraging harm to anyone, whether or not they are on the call.
- Illegal activity: fraud, scams, theft, threats, or obtaining money or data by deception.
- Pretending to be someone else, or using reminders and messages to contact people who do not want contact.
- Sharing another person's private information without permission.
- Calling automatically or in bulk, overloading the service, copying or reverse-engineering it, or bypassing safeguards.
- Using Aika's answers to mislead people or presenting those answers as a professional's advice.
Health and safety
Aika is not a doctor or counsellor. If you or someone near you is in danger, call 112, or 108 for an ambulance. Aika cannot send help.
When a rule is broken
Safety checks look for harmful or prohibited use during calls. Available actions are ending the call, temporarily pausing access or blocking a number after repeated or serious breaches. Restrictions are recorded in safety records. We disclose records to authorities when the law requires it.
Complaints and appeals
If a restriction is mistaken, contact the Grievance Officer with your number and call date. Complaints are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 30 days, or within 1 month if sooner. Complaints about relayed messages and Aika Living notices are resolved within 7 days. Legally urgent removals follow the shorter statutory deadline.
These rules form part of the Terms of Service. Aika is for people aged 18 and over.
Changes
We post changes at least 30 days before they take effect, except where the law requires them sooner, and tell callers on their next call.
